IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies, Training and Certification Program

The IPC-A-610, “Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies,” is the most widely used specification for the electronic assembly industry. This course will greatly assist any company dedicated to ISO-9000 or any other quality assurance initiative.

Goals of the course:

  • Provide an understanding of accept/reject criteria to enhance individual’s motivation and ability to consistently and correctly apply the discrimination criteria.
  • Teach methods and techniques how to use, navigate, locate and to apply the criteria contained in a IPC-A-610D Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies Standard to the appropriate class or classes of production
  • IPC-A610 Certification. Specialist certification expires two (2) years after successful examination.

Course is modular*:

  • Module 1: Introduction/IPC Professional Training Policies and Procedures
  • Module 2: Foreword, Applicable Documents & Handling
  • Module 3: Hardware
  • Module 4: Soldering (High Voltage)
  • Module 5: Terminal Connections
  • Module 6: Through-Hole Technology (With Practice)
  • Module 7: Surface Mount Assemblies (With Practice)
  • Module 8: Component Damage
  • Module 9: Wire Wrap

*It is possible to choose out desirable modules for the participants.

Preferred group: Up to 12 persons in one group

Duration: 2 full days, (8h theory + 8h practice)

NB!Modules 1 and 2 are mandatory modules
